About the Lesson

Work in a true Impressionistic style, using distinct, dynamic brushstrokes to capture the vibration of light and atmosphere.
Paint a female figure in backlighting, modeling soft, gliding shadows on the dress and the translucent green reflection cast by the parasol.
Convey a sense of wind and motion through the flowing folds of the scarf, the swaying grass in the foreground, and a textured, moving sky filled with drifting clouds.
